Manaslu Circuit Trek
Manaslu Circuit Trek — 16 Days
The Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s great restricted-area journeys — a full circuit of Mount Manaslu, the world’s eighth-highest peak at 8,163m, through a remote and culturally intact corridor that sees a fraction of the traffic on the Annapurna or Everest routes. The circuit follows the Budhi Gandaki River from the subtropical lowlands northward into a high Tibetan-influenced landscape of ancient monasteries, mani walls, yak pastures, and the dramatic crossing of the Larkya La Pass at 5,160m.
Because the Manaslu Conservation Area is a restricted zone, all trekkers require a special permit and must be accompanied by a licensed guide. This controlled access is precisely what preserves the character of the route — the villages are unspoilt, the teahouses are genuine, and the mountain views, culminating in close-range perspectives of Manaslu’s south face, are unmatched by anything on the classic Nepal circuits.
Summit Routes runs the Manaslu Circuit as a fully guided 16-day programme from Kathmandu, returning to Kathmandu via Dharapani and Besisahar. All permits, guide, porter, and domestic logistics are included.
